Terms of Reference for Exhibitors
All companies exhibiting will be expected to exhibit wholly grown and/or manufactured Zambian products processed at their company’s premises.
Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) reserves the right to allocate space/stand/pavilion to each Exhibitor in accordance with their determination based on classification of products, or otherwise.
Participating companies should be registered with Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA), as well as with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).
Every exhibitor shall have his or her stand ready and all displays merchandise completed before the opening day of the Exhibition.
A company shall not sublet the space/stand/pavilion allocated to them to any third parties either wholly or in part.
All exhibiting companies will take responsibility in arranging their samples/exhibits/products to be transported to and from the Exhibition venue.
Exhibitors shall be responsible for storage of their samples and will not store any hazardous materials or dispose of packaging materials in such a way and manner as shall constitute a nuisance or obstruct the free movement of persons and traffic or disfigure or endanger the environment.
Exhibitors shall not engage in and shall not allow any part of their stands allocated to them to be used for gambling, alcohol, illegal drugs, violence, dancing or any other activity of any anti-social behaviour.
All companies participating in the 2017 EDBI EXHIBITION are to adhere to the rules and regulations of participation as prescribed by the organisers of the exhibition and fair.
All exhibitors agree to provide their own (or representatives’) transportation, meals, accommodation and any other incidental cost associated to the Exhibition, and acknowledge that the ZDA, MCTI, Zambian Government or the World Bank will not make any provision for these costs.
In the event of default or failure on the part of the exhibitor/company in observing or performing any of the Participation Conditions of this Prospectus, ZDA shall have the right to terminate participation without any compensation and the stand reallocated.
The Ease of Doing Business Initiative (EDBI) The EDBI Conference is a peer-to-peer learning event requested by African countries and supported by the World Bank Group, to facilitate knowledge sharing on Doing Business reforms.
The 2017 EDBI Conference will be hosted by the Government of Zambia and is scheduled to take place between May 15th and May 19th 2017 at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone, Zambia.
The theme for the 2017 conference is "Business Reforms for Industrialization, Value Addition and Job Creation"
